*To All my fans I will be there competing, people say Don , your a hall of famer,a legend your 60 yrs old you have nothing to prove , why do you bust your back , why not take it easy, I say what Joe Demaggio once said '' Maybe someone is watching me for the first time''I'm going all out and give 110% at Zans Deli's Latke Contest. I'm not going just to tip my hat and wave to the crowd... I'm going for the win!

Thank you for your good thoughts and well wishes, but sad to say its time to say farewell to ce for now if and when I ever return to 142lb I will remain retired ..Don Lerman

ALL PRO Eating is grateful to have been graced by a champ of your caliber..If this is your last event we are honored that you went out as a champ (in a Jewish Food Item no less!..) You showed the toughness & honor of a Marine in your terrific victory. I know your history is with MLE and they better not hold this event against you. Your participation in this event was personal and should not be made political by them or any body else
