How long? for one day?

I always thought of you as the best eater in the world best of luck in the future.

Don competitive eating will never be the same without you

You are the last of the old school, New York eaters...I say don't retire

We all wish you good luck, & hope you still compete in many local events & go on to be the Chief Justice at the IFOCE.

You should throw a big retirement party for you and the other retired eaters like Ed Cookie, Booker, etc

Don,

I'm sorry to see you go. You've been very kind to me the entire way. Thank you for your time and camaraderie.

Good luck to you, sir.

-Tim

It was a pleasure and an honor to compete against you Don. You are a legend and trust me, all of the new eaters respect what you have done for the sport.

thank you Tim Janus and Eric 'The Red ''Denmark for your kind thoughts ..Don Lerman

Don your presence at the table made it a joy to compete. The old school eaters worked as a team similar to the Chicago Bulls in their heyday. You added something special to competitive eating with your intense passion and determination to be the best . I think somewhere down the line you will be eating someplace where you will be appreciated . It was a pleasure breaking bread with the great Moses

Don, we'll all miss you good luck in all your future endevers.

Don,
I regret we never had the chance to meet. I admire your gumption. You set the standard of an eater who can entertain the fans whether you are competing or not.

As a Philadelphian, I have deep respect for your performances at Wing Bowl. Please dont disappear from CE entirely!
Best
-Eric-

Congratulations to one of the best old school eaters, one that instilled fear into other eaters who showed up to contests. Even though you may not have won every time, you set the bar much higher, pushing others to eat more than they knew they could.

You had a fantastic career and more trophies than any other old school eater, from back when trophies were few and far between, due to much fewer contests and smaller budgets.

Congratulations to a great eater and more importantly, to a great friend, on a stellar career.

Sincerely,

Kevin "Krazy Kevin" Lipsitz and Lorraine "Lorraineasaurus Rex" Lipsitz
